Throughout the summer period, Leeds is booming with a ton of exciting events. 1. Sounds Of The City at Millennium Square

Originally taking place in Manchester, Sounds Of The City moved further up north to Leeds in 2021 and continues to provide vibrant gigs in the heart of the city centre, at Millennium Square. 2. Leeds Tequila Festival at Howard Assembly Room

Taking place on 20th July 2024 at one of Leeds’ most exciting “hidden gem” venues, Leeds Tequila Festival is back for its third year. From 12pm - 4pm, studio events will be bringing together some of the most exciting Mexican brands and showcasing the finest Mexican alcohol at Howard Assembly Room. 3. Leeds Pride

Get yourself ready for the biggest celebration of LGBTQ+ life in Yorkshire. Meet outside The Town Hall on Headrow at 12pm on Sunday 21st July to join the parade that will wind its way through the streets of Leeds until it eventually ends down at The Calls. Since drawing around 6,500 visitors in its first year in 2006, Pride has now developed to more than just a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. Expecting over 70,000 visitors in 2024, Leeds pride serves as a platform for education and highlighting the ongoing fight for inclusion and equality. Prepare to dance the day away to party anthems brought to you by exciting names such as Daisy Dupont, Matt Jameson and Lousia Johnson. 

4. Cinema On The Square at Millennium Square

As part of Leeds Film Festival, Millennium Square is due to be taken over by the big screen for the second year from 24th - 26th July 2024. With huge films including Ratatouille, Moulin Rouge and Barbie being showcased, Cinema On The Square is a screening experience like never before. 5. Gigs at Kirkstall Abbey

Get your dancing shoes ready for the 26th July and 27th July 2024, as two huge music industry names will be headlining Kirkstall Abbey. Both Madness and Embrace will be performing at the ruined Cistercian Monastery with support from many outstanding bands including Ocean Colour Scene and The Pigeon Detectives. It gets even better… on 28th July, Kirkstall Abbey Comedy Festival will be taking place, with comedians such as Katherine Ryan and Ross Noble providing laughs and entertainment. 6. Leeds Monopoly Takeover

The first of its kind, Leeds Monopoly Takeover is a city-wide version of the iconic board game. This free, family-friendly immersive experience will be taking place from 27th July - 1st September. The game will be using key landmarks and locations as the gameboard and will have life size tokens, clues and puzzles round every corner, bringing the economics-themed board game to life.
